Detailed Usage Instructions:

Step 1 Trimming:

Place the tool against the cue shaft, ensuring the guide groove contacts the shaft along its length. Slide the tool back and forth without tilting, keeping the guide fully in contact. This sands the cue tip sides flush with the ferrule. If the abrasive doesnt contact the sides, the tip is already the correct size, and you can skip to burnishing.

Step 2 Burnishing:

Lightly moisten the sides of the tip with your finger. Grip the shaft about two inches from the tip and fit the tool so the legs sit snugly against the tip and ferrule. Holding the shaft still, rotate the tool with medium pressure. After 1015 rotations, the tip sides will be smooth, polished, and flush with the ferrule.

Step 3 Shaping:

Choose the nickel or dime radius shaper. Hold the cue with light downward pressure and rotate it back and forth, or roll it between your palms in both directions. This creates a precise tip curvature for your playing style.

Step 4 Tapping & Conditioning:

First, chalk the tip. Press the tapper against the tip with medium force and roll it toward yourself, embedding chalk and restoring texture. Rotate the cue slightly and repeat. For light texture, gently tap the tip with the abrasive side. Avoid excessive force, which can distort the shape.
